DOPPELHANDEL is an underground and romantic synthwave duo formed in 2020.

Their universe, lyrical and nebulous, is inspired by retro-carpenter films and video games.

Influenced by the strange and mysterious world of neo noir cinema of the 80s, the duo like to insert a cinematic dimension to their tracks and their live.

DOPPELHANDEL plays with the second degree, self-mockery and does not seek to be categorized, hence their name which can be translated from German as "double-sided ».

We can find some Boy Harsher, Kavinsky, Kompromat, or Carpenter Brut in their electro-techno sounds

Selected in 2022 during the Insane Festival springboard competition (3000 groups registered for the competition) to play as the first part before Orelsan and Poupy, on the main stage of this event which brought together more than 33,000 people. They were also selected among the 100 finalists out of 1,200 registered for the prestigious Ricard Festival 2022 springboard, where they were noticed by Rize agency and with whom they signed the start of a collaboration in July 2022.

The duo is also at the initiative and organizer of the “La Claquée” events in the Synthwave/Indie Dance/Dark Disco style, which promote diversity in electro music.
