I came up in Houston’s 5th Ward.
Signed to Rap-A-Lot Records/Virgin Records — and had a brief tie-in with Death Row back in the day. Hardcore. Street. Raw. That was my life — so that’s what I rapped.
But I’ve been through some things most people wouldn’t survive; molestation, prison silence, abandonment.
For a long time, I used to make music to sound strong. Now I do it to be strong.
I’m not chasing fame anymore or trying to be the hardest in the room. I’m telling the truth. About love. About healing. About the war in my heart.
I’ve grown. Spiritually. Emotionally. Musically. I’m not the same dude I was — and I’m not ashamed of that. I’m proud of it.
This next chapter isn’t about going back.
It’s about going deeper.
