Dotan Negrin and Prismatic Mantis are an East to West coast music collaboration whose styles are most often well known as "lofi hiphop". Although their music is a blend of hundreds of musical genres, they more recently echo styles that dance between Psychedelic Electronic Jazz and Progressive NeoSoul-Math and Trip-hop. The two composers met on one of Negrin’s road trips in August 2011 (Piano Around). They improvised “Pure Imagination" on the streets of Boulder, Colorado and from the moment onward they have been creating music since. Their “Pure Imagination Remix” cover has appeared on Casey Neistat's You Tube channel, and has hit over 20 million views on youtube and over 12k Spotify playlists. These well acknowledged Lofi hiphop artists haven’t stopped there. They just released a rising new EP called “Symbiosis” with a mind-bending trip hop cover of “When You Wish Upon A Star” and will continue to pave the way in a forward-thinking fusion of creative sounds.
