Since their debut full-length Jellyfiss (2015) DOTS (formerly Dot.s) have explored glistening synth-pop melodies set to a grid of drum machines and kinetic dance rhythms. They’ve toured the country consistently, and shared the stage with the likes of Temples, TEEN, Austra, Islands, Delicate Steve, Pylon Reenactment Society, Octopus Project, and hundreds more. They’re follow-up sophomore LP entitled, We Swim (2016), runs as a singular, uninterrupted piece of music, whose themes are rooted in the demise of human attention-spans, drowned by the constant sea of media and entertainment. Furthering their exploration of long-form musical story-telling, they released a 13-minute track entitled, Down Goes the Elephant (2017), featuring various local Atlanta-based voices, including the Atlanta Philharmonic for the piece’s orchestral introduction. In defiance of their previous winding and thematic recordings, DOTS released Long for this World (2019) as a series of 9 singles, each released a week apart from one another.
