Double Rider is a contemporary-classic rock trio from Siksika Nation, Alberta. In 2014, they began their formative year of developing their sound, a fusion of classic and modern rock. In the first few years of being a band, they performed at local festivals in Southern Alberta. They've played notable venues, such as the Yates Theatre in Lethbridge, Ab, and the Palomino in Calgary, AB. In early 2020, Double Rider set out on their first tour – The First Nations Music Tour – alongside notable Indigenous Artists. In 2022, they performed at the Big Winter Classic and Sled Island Festival.
Double Rider has recently released their long-awaited album, <a href="spotify:album:206N2YDGQ7lDcLiw2TS5am" data-name="Times of the Day">Times of the Day</a>, including songs written by their grandfather and original music. Double Rider celebrated the release of their album at the King Eddy (Calgary, AB) and the Blakbar (Edmonton, AB) in February 2023.
