Doudou Nganga

Doudou Nganga graduated from Fine Arts in Kinshasa (Republic Democratic of Congo). He obtained a grant to further his studies in the University of Valencia (2003). As soon as he arrived he started his pedagogic endeavour with a definite aim: to bring the African culture closer to the Western world. With this artistic perspective he has shared his message through singing, percussion, dancing within the musical projects he initiated: Doudou Nganga World Music solo project, Doudou Nganga / Eric Simone Duo piano voice (an intimate although powerful afro-jazz approach), Doudou Nganga Afro-jazz quartet. With Doudou Nganga The Band Doudou mixes lyrics in Lingala (Congo main language with French) and jazz with African and Afro-Latin rythms, Afrobeat, nuances that remind us of Fela Kuti and the profound voices of Congo a deeply rooted music conveying a soulful message with good vibes only as a motto.
Doudou Nganga licenciado en Bellas Artes en Kinshasa (República Democrática de Congo) consiguió una beca para desarrollar sus estudios en la Universidad de Valencia (2003). Recién llegado comenzó su labor pedagógica con un fin claro: compartir la cultura africana a traves del canto, la percusión y el baile en los proyectos: Doudou Nganga/Eric Simone Dúo piano voz, Doudou Nganga Afro-jazz cuarteto y Doudou Nganga The Band donde sus canciones mezclan culturas, letra en lingala y jazz con rítmicas africanas y afro latinas, una pincelada de Fela Kuti con las voces profundas de Congo.
