Doug Hawco was born in picturesque St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.
In February 2017 Doug released his 2nd full length album called Life on the Water and his latest album, Follow, was released in February 2018. Thanks to influences as disparate as U2, Ryan Adams, country legend Garth Brooks and the traditional styles of Great Big Sea, his songwriting is emotive rather than genre-specific. Thanks to a strong work ethic (Doug’s performed over 1000 shows in various parts of the world) his live act plays well to festival audiences and intimate rooms alike.
