Dougie Rew

Born in Savannah, Georgia, in 1987, I am Doug, and my journey spans passions, academia, and societal change. In North Augusta, SC, I harmonized as a first tenor in choirs and played trombone and marching baritone, graduating high school in 2005. Aiming to comprehend society's complexities, I attained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a minor in Sociology and Human Services, and a Master of Arts in Communications.

Throughout academia, influential textbooks like "Criminology: The Core" by Larry J. Siegel and "Sociology: A Brief Introduction" by Richard T. Schaefer shaped my worldview. In 2014, photography ignited my creativity, crystallizing emotions in moments frozen in time. Beyond the lens, I strive to dissolve toxic masculinity, promote open dialogue, and cultivate acceptance for a safer society.

Identifying as "Demisexual/Asexual," I celebrate diverse identities. My life journey intertwines with my wife and our cherished animals in Colorado.
