Douglas Hammond is an aspiring singer-songwriter born in California and raised in Indiana. Taught a love of music by his mother, he is heavily influenced by folk artists like Gordon Lightfoot, Cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel and James Taylor. He started playing guitar around age 14 and started singing and writing songs around 18. Douglas lives quietly in northern Indiana with his loving wife and two children, working in retail while she works in science. He writes songs about day to day struggles, loss, hope, and the human experience.
