Down With Gravity (DWG) was formed in Pearson Scholarship Hall in 2009. Drawing inspiration from Brand New, Weezer, and Jimmy Eat World, DWG recorded one studio EP titled The Crossword in 2010.
Following their EP, DWG played numerous shows, including house parties, charity events, Greek Life socials, and played in venues around Lawrence, KS. In the spring of 2011, DWG recorded a few more original songs, however the songs were never publicly released.
DWG disbanded in the spring of 2012, when the band members graduated college and split paths.
In 2020, Down with Gravity released The Crossword (Deluxe Edition), featuring their original EP and unreleased songs Lying and We Are Invincible.
