Down With Me

Forged on back porches and around campfires, Down With Me's beginnings can be traced to February 2014. Jimmy, Ben, and Greg decided to undertake the RPM Challenge, which involves writing and recording a full album during the shortest month of the year. Songs blending acoustic instrumentation with provocative story-telling were born, and the group quickly realized this project would transcend the 28 day deadline. The trio had a style that was truly their own. Melodic, expressive vocals danced above guitars fingerpicking in harmony, as a deep bassline filled their sound. In these early days, Down With Me played at parks, around campfires, and in friends' homes.

The band's sound progressed as they continued writing, and they decided to take on more than just acoustic music. In 2015, Down With Me began to morph into a three piece electric band, influenced by their punk rock roots, yet still preserving their classical vibe. The energy of their acoustic songs was unleashed, and a new door of songwriting potential was opened.

Down With Me is now essentially two bands in one, and most of their songs can be heard in two very different styles. They are just as at home strumming some sultry licks at a cafe as they are at a late night show, drums pounding and amps screaming.
