DR ADAKU is a PhD holder and Afro-fusion singer/songwriter from London, of Nigerian (Igbo) heritage. She dropped her debut album the vibes are known on 20th November 2021 which also marked the two year anniversary of her passing her PhD viva and becoming DR ADAKU. The album represents different versions of Dr Adaku symbolised through her different vocal styles and genres. ‘the vibes are known’ is a unique blend of afrobeats, R&B/soul, highlife, UK rap and even drill. You can really feel her Igbo influences throughout her music alongside her UK upbringing, all blended in a distinctive way. She is best known for her debut single "Jisike" which is a soothing Igbo/English Afro-lofi fusion providing relaxing chill vibes. She has since released bangers including Egwu Ukwu and Can't Touch That.
