Dr. Motte began DJing in 1985, and (inspired by <a href="spotify:artist:2Di8r9df6xjyj6CVOqbGVz" data-name="Marshall Jefferson">Marshall Jefferson</a>), moved to house music two years later. In 1989, he founded Berlin's Love Parade; though the first year included only 150 people, 1999’s edition brought in 1,5 million. By 1991, Dr. Motte participated at the Planet Club in Berlin. The following year, he & Uwe Reineke started Space Teddy Recordings. The same year, he released the Chill Out Planet Earth album as Euphorhythm. A second album, entitled Politics of Life (The Collection of Experiences), appeared in 1995. Besides occasional collaborations with <a href="spotify:artist:4B0IS9nHuZ1wJUwl2CwHC8" data-name="3 Phase">3 Phase</a>, Dr. Motte has also recorded with Westbam, Robert Babicz , Tom Wax, Eric Sneo, Gabriel le Mar, Marc van Linden, DJ Dag and many more
