I was born and raised in a small old house in Siuro, Finland. There was no running water or central heating in the house. We had one room and a kitchen for our family. My grandmother and aunt were living upstairs in two small rooms. The neighbourhood was lively and definitely not sober. When people got their welfare money they took a taxi to town and spent all the money on booze. I used to collect empty bottles from our yard and return them to the grocery store to get candy money.
Years has passed and I did learn how to sing and play National Resophonic Guitars with and without slide. I have a band called Dr Patala & Organic Healers. Shaman Sam plays Drums and Prof. T. Pines is Harmonica player. With Shaman we have played 30 years together. Professor is a new comer. He has played with us only 10 years.
Our music style is Siuron Suisto Blues and most of the songs tells stories about Dr Patala and his home village Siuro.
We never practise, we just play.
