DR These (real name Nhlakanipho Chiliza) is a 27-year-old Gqom artist and producer from Durban, KZN, known for his breakout hit “Nkunkutshwala”—a viral anthem born from a TikTok chant that shook the streets and sparked online controversy. Despite claims from others, the release dates prove DR These dropped it first, setting the trend, not following it.
A former member of Amaninja Tainment, he went solo after the group split, taught himself production through FL Studio, and evolved into a super producer with a raw, Durban-flavored sound. He’s been featured on Gagasi FM, Inanda FM, uMngungundlovu FM, and appeared on Channel O and MTV Base.
