Dread Culture is an Afro-Psychedelic/Afro Carnatic movement based out of Bangalore- India. We manipulate the elements of Reggae, Dub, Afro-beat and African Jazz and fuse it with Indian melodies focusing on ethnic rhythm and quasi-rap vocal styles. This has arguably led to the creation of a completely unique genre of music which has never been heard before in the underground Indian music scene. The lyrics focus on the issues of the third world, dealing with themes that are rarely discussed by musicians today. Music is a weapon of the future and we believe we can free the people with music.
