Born in a forgotten corner of East Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, DREAD started as four friends making noise in a tiny rehearsal space, fueled by cheap beer, bad jokes, and a shared love for thrash, hardcore, and punk. What began as an excuse to escape small-town boredom turned into a relentless pursuit of loud riffs, chaotic energy, and telling it like it is.
After a few years of trading stage dives for day jobs, Mick Schot (vocals), Reggie Schot (guitar), Robin Wuytack (bass), and Valentin van Gijsel (drums) are back with Selftitled, a raw and unapologetic EP that hits as hard as ever. Expect crushing riffs, bursts of punk fury, and lyrics that swing between calling out the world’s nonsense and not taking themselves too seriously.
No fame, no frills, no clue what they’re doing next—just loud music and a lot of heart. This is DREAD.
