Back in the day, two college students had a dream…
Guitarist/songwriter Rob Resnick was living off Brown University’s campus with keyboardist Andy Newcomb when they decided to form a band. After seeing Umit Celebi shine in a university production of The Tooth of Crime, they recruited him as their frontman, forming The ViceGrips, a popular Providence act.
Eventually, the band split, with Rob and Andy moving on to play in San Francisco and New York City. But fate had other plans, and the trio reunited to form The Hague—a band that made waves on the NYC scene, playing iconic venues like CBGB’s. However, that chapter also came to an end.
Years later, the trio reunited once again to form Dream LogiQ, adding drummer Leslie Stern (another Brown alum), bassist Deb Stuppiello, and violinist/guitarist Greg Gutmann.
Over the years, their music has evolved, and now, Dream Logiq is captivating crowds at Brooklyn and Manhattan clubs with their vintage '90s sound, driven by Rob’s collaborative songwriting—which always inspires the question…
