DREC is a young, talented Sri Lankan music producer, singer, and songwriter born to two gifted musicians. He started his music career with the release of Oba Wenuwen in 2022, collaborating with his brother. DREC is passionate about creating new works across different musical genres. He first discovered his musical talent with a keyboard given to him by an uncle when he was a child. Before long, he began playing musical instruments by ear. In his childhood, his role model was Yanni. Later, he was inspired by pop and EDM cultures and began experimenting with different music styles to create unique songs.
