DREY ARMANI is a recording and performing singer-songwriter based in Portland, Maine paving a NEW lane in contemporary R&B. One of his popular singles ‘UPTOWN GIRL’ released in 2019 allowed Drey to get his followers early in the local scene, and also introduce us to his hopeless romantic persona. It was also one of his first songs to play on the local radio station.
Later he released his first EP titled ‘HUE’ on March 27th, 2021 which touches on few of his experiences here in the U.S. Born and raised in St. Catherine, Jamaica where he spent majority of his childhood he was exposed to rich culture and rough experiences that seeps through his music. He was raised by a single mother and grandmother, but due to violence and poverty back home he decided to take a leap of faith to chase his dreams abroad in the U.S. Drey strives off self criticism and self challenging which helps him grow and push him self to break boundaries and to do the unthinkable. By learning how to mix, master and produce he managed to get himself ahead of majority of his pears musically which also contributes to his sound. His wordplay and musicality captivates the listener and paints a vivid picture sonically, helping him to become the voice for the voiceless as he paints the pictures of his or other peoples experiences.
