Songs about Evel Knievel, heartless coal companies, lonesome roads, ghosts, drugs, justified murder, and the retribution of the devil himself.
Current No Depression Fresh Track (Tennessee Highway) and just added to ND's official Best of November Spotify Playlist
Lou Poster is the son of a third-generation West Virginia coal miner. A solid work ethic and a healthy distrust of unchecked capitalism is part of his DNA. After fronting the ear-crushing cowpunk band Grafton for nearly two decades, he has decided to explore the more melodic side of his country roots. “Poster lays it out in raw and vivid terms with the kind of literary song craftsmanship of fellow troubadours like Steve Earle and Son Volt’s Jay Farrar,” describes Glide magazine.
"When music is heart felt and touches something real, it’s natural to just keep listening over and over. Tennessee Highway, Iris, Bad Song... the music draws you, invites, and you become a part of it, like life." - Kevin Eubanks, Leader of The Tonight Show Band
"In a crowded field of alt-country posers and fresh-faced dive bar newbies, this son of a coal miner's gritty trio is so real it hurts." - Mishka Shubaly, Bestselling Author, Cult singer/songwriter
"...takes the time to tell each story, still taut in its spaces, its mountain slurry finding the right places to settle. 'Loveridge Is Burning' never wants to take the long way home. But you will." Todd May, Lillybandits founder and guitarist for Lydia Loveless
