Driver405 began in 2019 as the synthwave side-project of tech house DJ/Producer "Roy LaCroix". His releases often show homage to the nostalgic sounds of the 1980s, yet breathe new life into the subgenre. He is known for his official remix work with renowned artists such as Droid Bishop, Parallels, and The New Division. Rumor has it that his right hand was damaged in an unfortunate synthesizer accident and replaced with a Nintendo Powerglove.
