In 2016, three gospel recording artists who just happen to be great friends –Rob Mercer, CD Porter, and Javon Inman, traveled to The Gambia intending to only perform a gospel concert and mission work, but God had something else in mind. Kingdom purpose collided with the three award-winning solo artists in West Africa and DRK2LGHT – a brotherhood of ministry, music, and laughter was officially formed. The gentlemen kicked the door down with their 2020 debut contemporary gospel radio single “He Keeps On” –gaining a considerable following via global radio & internet stations and social media. With over 120K Spotify streams, 17K VEVO music streams, and a weekly online men’s devotional –Man 2 Man, DRK2LGHT solidified themselves as a mainstay in gospel music. DRK2LGHT currently resides in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, respectively.
