Dryad [dʀyˈaːd] tries to tell stories through music, a lot of them inspired by myths from different cultures or historical events. The music ranges from folkish tunes to Black Metal described by the band as Epic Pagan Metal.
The band from Böblingen and Tübingen, Germany was founded in January 2013 and released their first album in 2016. The music of this album featured a trumpet and two guitars. In 2017 some members had to leave the band and these events were used as a chance to restructure the band. Anna Schleussner (Violin) and Claudia Höhnke (Cello) joined and the style of the music was changed completely to a more symphonic approach. The EP “Panta Rhei“ was released on the 5th of August 2018 and gave the first impressions of the abilities of the new style.
