Continuing a California tradition of innovation, DSTRCT rolls out with a smooth flow of his own, rapping straight from the heart with a whole lot of hunger. Born into a musical family, his Father, multi-platinum rapper Mack 10 introduced him to Rap Music as a child, although DSTRCT credits his older sister for exposing him to the wide variety of genres that helped shape his musical taste. By middle school, he recorded his earliest compositions on his Mother's laptop, completely immersing himself in Hip-Hop by high school. Opting to drop out of college after one semester DSTRCT decided to pursue his dream full time. By chance, he caught the attention of GRAMMY® Award-winning chart-topping producer Mustard, after sharing a demo. Impressed, the mega-producer signed him to 10 Summers Records
