Who is Duke Noz’em?

Some say he was born in a back-alley blues joint, raised on distortion and whiskey-soaked wisdom. Others claim he emerged fully formed from the feedback of a cranked-up amplifier. What’s certain is this: Duke Noz’em is the heartbeat of rebellion, the preacher of the downstroke gospel, and the six-string storm that never settles. With a snarl, a riff, and a fire that never fades, he lives the life of an outlaw on an endless, high-voltage rampage.

In the early 2000s, four guys from the Dutch South (Brabant) embarked upon a mission to honor this legend and created the band Duke Noz'em and the Dirty Downstrokes. The band unleashed "Fire" upon an unsuspecting world in January 2013. After a lot of good times and some awesome gigs, the band went on hiatus but returned in 2021. In the april of 2025, DNDD will release a follow-up EP. Recorded by the band themselves, the band was helped by mixing meastro Jeffro Lackscheide to create the sonic boom they call "100 Lives".

Duke Noz'em and the Dirty Downstrokes are:
Ronald Groot - Lead vocals, rhythm guitar
Bastiaan Beerens - Lead guitar, vocals
Coen Smets - Drums
Erik Faber - Bass guitar
