“Dumpweed? Like, the Blink-182 song?”
During the summer of 2017, Dumpweed was birthed as a trio in the heart and soul of New Jersey. We started as a passion project, influenced by the Misfits, Black Flag, Minor Threat, and Green Day. In our first 2 years, we played with acts like Madball, Agent Orange, Murphy’s Law, Leeway, and countless basement shows. During this time, we also released a demo titled “The Boot That Crushes," as well as our debut album “Age of Consent.”
Dumpweed is now continuing with new faces and a new sound. Going from a 3 to a 4 piece, our musical influences range from old school punk, hardcore, emo, and everything in between. We opened for our heroes in Black Flag, and continue playing songs about growing up and facing both social and internal issues. Our mantra is individuality, and the pursuit of understanding and being yourself.
