DUSK (a.k.a. Avgi Platanidi) is a singer songwriter based in Athens, Greece.
Her first single " What are the chances ", released in 2012 , became very popular on radio airplay and audience & has been frequently used as background theme for series , TV shows etc., until this day . In 2014 , her first album “ The Debut of Crossing the Lines “ , a project of indie folk genre , was released by the Sound of Everything. The release was followed by numerous concerts and festival appearances as well as the singles “Dolphin” and “Slipping Beauty” (2015 – 2016).
In 2017 she embarked on a new “ journey ” and started recording & producing her second album “Odyssey”.
“Odyssey“is a concept album that follows the journey of human life and combines cinematic , spoken word and vocal elements , in both English and Greek . The first singles “ Yenesis “ and “ Chronos “ were released via Bandcamp the same year. Her love for instrumental and soundtrack music writing, her half Greek, half English parentage and her restless contemplation on questions of existence led her to the composition of this album which was recently concluded and released digitally on January 2019.
Since then, in between long pauses of contemplation & renaissance, the singles “The Tempest” and “From Dusk Till Dawn” -in collaboration with Fuku Cosmonaut- have been released in an attempt to imprint our Time’s turmoil, inside and out.
