Dusty Pickering

The Vancouver, Canadian local Dusty Pickering a new talent in the uplifting trance scene
discovered his love for dance music in the late 90’s. He was a regular in the Vancouver rave
scene that was rapidly growing at his friends introduced him too trance “ I remember being at a
show in 2001, Tiesto was headlining and that was the moment trance took hold of me. The
breakdowns were so amazing and the melodies were so epic I started to fall in love with the
music.” A few years later his brother introduced him to Armin Van Buuren’s radio show A State
Of Trance from there he was a weekly listener and a huge fan.
During the darkest period of Dusty’s life his mom made sure his music was at near reach and
to keep his spirits up. Those dark moments gave birth to the reality that was soon to come
though at the time it didn’t seem like it. The seed was planted, the now 40 year old producer
explains that listening to trance gave him the idea to start his journey into production for
himself. He found great mentorship and grew as an artist, he signed his first track
“Consistency” in September 2020 with Redux Recordings the release date on that is still to
come. Dusty kept working hard and completed his second track “Getting Back Up” which has
been signed to Alter Ego Recordings, you can expect more from the eager artist who sums up
by saying “ I believe my dreams are coming true.”
