Dusty is producer duo Dylan Guthrie and Lucas Agnew, representing Pōneke and Ōtautahi respectively, Dusty gained notoriety producing music and playing at shows and festivals across New Zealand since 2019. With a strong influence of classic dubstep, Dusty further crystalised their sound over the coming years and has become known for clean sonic engineering, technical rhythmic arrangement, and boundary-pushing soundscapes.
Dusty’s “Hydro” EP for UK label Infernal Sounds sold out in under a week, and earned them support from some of the biggest names in the scene. Dusty saw major support early on from Ternion Sound at Infrasound festival and was named “one of the best up and coming aliases in the scene” by the dubstep taste makers of Deep Tempo Podcast. Alongside this, Dusty has had wide support from the likes of TMSV, J:Kenzo, Daseplate, Killjoy, Nova and more.
