Duxius is the music project of Edyta Rogowska-Żak, a Berlin-based artist who blends songwriting honesty with a fearless approach to form. Her sound is Polish Future Retro – a style where the melancholia of the '70s, '80s, and '90s meets modern production and raw emotional truth. These are songs woven from personal stories, dancefloor defiance, and reflections on what truly resonates – within us and between us.
Her debut album Remanence (2022) featured the track “Dziki Bez”, which moved many listeners in Poland – including legendary radio host Marek Niedźwiecki. The album offered a deeply personal look into the past and a search for what stays with us forever – memories, voices, emotions. Sung in three languages – Polish, English, and German – Duxius’ stories refuse to be boxed in.
Duxius live is more than a concert – it’s a shared experience. On stage, Edyta performs with two musicians: a bassist from Chile and a drummer from Germany, forming a vibrant cross-cultural trio. Their shows are emotional journeys, where rhythm, presence, and theatrical energy come together in powerful ways. In 2024, Duxius performed at Waves Vienna Festival, bringing this immersive sound to a wider European audience.
In June 2025, Duxius will release the first single from her upcoming EP – the beginning of a bold new chapter: more fearless, more danceable, more Duxius. This is Polish Future Retro in its fullest form.
