Formed in the rain soaked Pacific Northwest in 1993 Paul Ellis, Dave Fulton and Jeff Vasey connected via the experimental music scene in Portland Oregon. They collected the cast off instruments abandoned by the musicians of the 70’s and early 80’s and strived to reinvent the Berlin School sound of the 70’s into one filtered and formed via the mushroom dotted fields surrounding Portland. After the 1st 2 albums Jeff Vasey left the band and was replaced by John Duval for the last 2 albums. DATT performed live on the east and west coast and played the Alpha Centauri Festival in the Netherlands. Paul Ellis continues to compose and release music in 2025 and Dave Fulton in 2012 formed the band Motrik and plays with them continues to compose electronic music in 2025.
