Dyngyr Originally formed Farmington, N.M. In 2017. Life long friends, Tyler Cage, Arthur Luay and Charlie Chugs began writing songs that would become the first Ep. With the addition of Kodi Grant on drums, Dyngyr recorded the EP and released their Debut single “The Haunting”. Immediately garnering attention from local venues. Dyngyr hosted an EP release show with Man Made God to headline.
With the momentum building an unexpected move for work, of founding member Charlie Chugs to the Knoxville, Tn area, forced the band to hit pause.
In 2018, Charlie joined forces with Richard Pell on vocals for two singles, Do it Again (2018) and Becoming A Ghost (2019).
After the release of Becoming A Ghost, Dyngyr began to pickup steam and found Bassist Brian Rose, Vocalist Lane Osterbur and Drummer Zack Freeman. By finding Lane during a random search for crowd vocal recordings, the band began diving headfirst into recording a new song which became Eyes of the Anarchist. With the release of a second single and complete new line-up in 2019, Dyngyr set plans to release its first full length album in 2020.
However another tragedy struck. Not just the band but the entire world. With the world on pause, the band released their second single with Lane in 2020, The Haunting pt. 2.
With emotions high, mental states crumbling, the band decided to go on hiatus for the unknown foreseeable future.
Until 2023, with the announcement of a new single. Dyngyr has returned.
