Dyves is a Norwegian singer- songwriter, based in Oslo. His melodic folk-pop originates in his small hometown, outside of Oslo, where he discovered the guitar in middle school. Early influences include Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Nirvana and The Cure. Through high school he was involved in a wide range of bands and projects ranging from pop, rock and surf to trip-hop and folk music, touring in Scandinavia, Germany and England. One of these projects was Time Of Madness, which was listed on national radio channel P3.
Wanting to focus exclusively on being a solo artist, as well as experiencing something totally different, he moved to Yunnan in Southwest China. New inspirations for lyrics and melody came through the meeting with chinese culture and philosophy. After returning to Norway, he released an EP using his full name Håvard Dyvesveen in 2011.
