Multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter E L L I is quickly becoming known for her eclectic musical style, bass playing and evocative vocals that recall the 90s and early 2000s golden age of alternative rock. She began her journey playing piano by ear, after her mother showed her how to play a few chords.

Her mother also encouraged her to sing along with the radio, imitating runs or adding harmonies and extemporizing. E L L I believes this contributed to the evolution of her unique vocal style that is often described as ‘haunting’.

After receiving a guitar for Christmas at 14, E L L I really began to focus more on songwriting. She said, “There is something so intimate and comforting about sitting alone in your room with a guitar on your lap, just crying or dreaming and watching something unfold beneath your fingertips. It just felt so safe. That’s when I really fell in love with creating music.”
E L L I released her first single, the self-produced ‘Follow You’ in September of 2021.

Her next single release, ‘Staring Down My Destiny’, arrives 03.28.2022.
