Earl Rose is an Emmy winning American composer, pianist, conductor, and arranger.
In addition to composing film, television, jazz and classical music, he has composed well-known pop and R&B songs. He has received an Emmy Award, fourteen Emmy Award nominations and three ASCAP awards for being among the top five most performed composers in television. He performs in the US and abroad including a residency at New York's Carlyle Hotel for thirty years in Bemelmans’ Bar.
His film scores include Paddy Chayefsky: Collector Of Words, Bob Mackie:Naked Illusion , Alan Pakula:Going For Truth, Always At The Carlyle, and PBS American Masters' Johnny Carson: King of Late Night. Rose has composed the scores for over a dozen History Channel documentaries and mini-series.
He has appeared in the feature films, No Hard Feelings, On The Rocks and New Year’s Eve and web series, Love Life, Partner Track performing his original piano music.
Rose’s songwriting and recording collaborations include Brian McKnight, Olivia Newton-John, Peabo Bryson, Johnny Mathis, Audra McDonald, and Kenny Lattimore.
His original music is featured in such TV series as The Jinx: The Life and Death of Ribert Durst, True Detective, Reacher, Shameless, The Goldbergs, The Magicians, Pan Am, The West Wing, and many others. He was the pianist for the TV special, A Colbert Christmas:The Greatest Gift of All.
Earl Rose was born in New York City and graduated majoring in piano from the Mannes College of Music.
