Ebba Daniel is an Ethiopian gospel singer, songwriter, and producer born in 1995 in Bale Robe, Ethiopia. He grew up in Addis Abeba, particularly around the Piazza area, and is a devoted member of the Ethiopian 6kilo Asembl of God Church. His musical journey began at a young age, developing a passion for music between 11 and 13 years old. At 16, Ebba started learning to play the keyboard, and by 18, he began serving as the keyboardist at Rehoboth Kale Hiwot Church near Bethel, where his musical talents began to flourish.
Over time, Ebba transitioned from playing to singing, and his music ministry took off. He released his first album, Mayet Kerestosen (translated: “Looking at Christ”), which marked the beginning of his solo career. Later, Ebba co-founded the Elora Gospel Singers group, contributing to the creation of the popular song Selam Alej and producing their album, Exodus. This further solidified his position in Ethiopia’s gospel music scene.
Ebba continued to grow as an artist, releasing his first solo single, lene yehonkilgn, followed by his second single, Kante Gar. His second album, Yehagere Lij (“My countryman”), showcased his unique sound and message. Ebba has also collaborated with various artists and gospel groups, further expanding his impact in the Ethiopian gospel music community. Passionate about inspiring the body of Christ, he continues to serve in Ethiopian churches, using his gifts for the Kingdom of God.
