Formed in Leicester UK in 2005 by Harvey Sharman-Dunn (guitars), Andy Askey (bass), Dan Hessing (drums) and original keyboard player Alan Tang after the singer of their previous band (Bocca) moved away. They were joined by Peter Ingram on vocals after he attended one of their early shows.
In the subsequent years they were bolstered with brass from Paul Hing and Cello from Sam Sharman-Dunn. Following the departure of Alan Tang in 2017 they recruited Ben Moore on synths.
Often compared to The Fall Echolocation have ploughed their own furrow creating a unique sound with elements of post-punk, post-rock and Krautrock.
