Ed The Red (who s real name is Edward Goltsman) is one of the originators of jazzy, soulful house music also known as Garage House and Jersey House. In 2016-17 he has become one of the top soul/R&B artists with 7 consecutive hits on top of the UK Soul Chart.
Ed started his music education at 6 yo and continued at Berklee College of Music. The first few singles that he produced were gospel and hip-hop, but after he was introduced to New York's dance club scene, he started writing and producing house music with successful releases on labels like Emergency, Supertronics, Quark , Atlantic, Select, Mic Mac, Jump Street, Sutra and others. Also he started DJing and doing appearances at clubs around New York City and live shows in clubs like the famous Zanzibar, Palladium, etc. In 1990 Ed started his own label, Bottom Line Records that quickly became a household name among the lovers of 90s House Music. Ed's tracks were consistently featured on play lists of top Djs like Tony Humphries, John Robinson, Louie Vega, Timmy Regisford, Doc Martin, Junior Vasquez, Keoki and many others.
In 2017 - 18 Ed had 7 consecutive top 10 hits with “Summer is the coldest season” reaching #2 on the UK Soul Chart Top 30 and #1 on Amazone. “Love-Amore” captured the #1 spot on Indamixworldwide chart and #1 on the UK's Soul and Dance chart.
The latest release: "I'm There Girl" on DSG Records (UK) out February 8, 2019 is #14 on the UK Soul Chart this week!
