Butler is a 19-year-old Country artist from West Yorkshire, England.
Growing up, country music wasn't spoken about in England the way it is now, and he certainly didn't see it as an option when he began songwriting. At the beginning of his journey, from picking up a guitar, he loved all different styles of music - anything from the 1950s onwards interested him - but country music was one genre that didn't immediately stand out.
Folk songs were the stepping stone into his newfound love for country music, with <a href="spotify:artist:1R6Hx1tJ2VOUyodEpC12xM" data-name="Jim Croce">Jim Croce</a> being his biggest inspiration. Introduced to him by his Grandad, Butler would listen - and still does - to Croce for hours on end every day.
In more recent time, he credits his love of country music to a gig he attended in Leeds, seeing the band <a href="spotify:artist:1JWMpIl0nhqFJNdO3IOQ20" data-name="49 Winchester">49 Winchester</a>. It was a true lightbulb moment which influenced his decision to start writing in the genre.
His debut single <a href="spotify:album:48IBiEmuHAii3hwMSO4Ql0" data-name="Lions, Tigers and Bears">Lions, Tigers and Bears</a> was released on the 2nd January 2026 - with more to follow...
