EEEKS is a Paraguayan group that was born out of the desire to start a band by Aharon, Rogelio and Ana after attending classes at a one-teacher-only experimental jazz institute in 2012.
The band has released two studio albums, Pet City (2017) and Oracle (2018) and two eps, EP#1 (2015) and 20/20 (2020) as well as a live album, El Regreso - En Vivo Teatro Nhi Mu, to be released in 2023.
Throughout their career, the band positioned themselves with their own style which helped create a new music scene in Paraguay’s capital, Asunción, influencing a generation of young and emerging bands of independent musicians.
After a COVID hiatus, the band got back together in march of 2023 to perform a multidisciplinary play at the Nhi Mu aerial theatre with sensory sculptures and performance, video and sound art.
During the same month they shared a a festival line up with Rosalia, Lil Nas X, Usted Señalemelo, Dillom, Bandalos Chinos and Tame Impala. They've also shared bills with Juan Wauters, Tall Juan, Kamikaze Palm Tree, Friendless Summer, El Mato a Un Policia Motorizado, Nathy Peluso and Robbie Williams.
Aharon (guitar, vox), Ana (drums, vox), Joaquin (bass, vox) and Rogelio (keyboards) are currently working on new songs in studios in Asunción, Paraguay and Portland - Oregon, USA.
Their last show was filmed and released as a concert movie that can be seen on youtube “EEEKS - El Regreso ✰✰✰✰ La Película ✰✰✰✰ (FULL SHOW en vivo en Nhi Mu)” (2023).
