EEF (Early Ettringite Formation) is a quintet of young musicians from Italy.
The band was founded in 2015 by Mattia Leoni (drums) and Umberto Ferretti (guitar). From the very beginning the project's essence started to emerge: a combination among high-impact Rock, sophisticated Jazz language and the groove of Funk.
The Ettringite is the mineral that makes concrete compact and "hard as a rock" which, with a pinch of poetic license, has become the band's philosophy

EEF (Early Ettringite Formation) è un quintetto di giovani musicisti italiani. La band è stata fondata nel 2015 da Mattia Leoni (batteria) e Umberto Ferretti (chitarra). Fin dall’inizio ha iniziato a delinearsi l’essenza del progetto: una combinazione tra l’impatto del Rock, il linguaggio sofisticato del Jazz e il groove del Funk. L’Ettringite è il minerale che rende il cemento compatto e “duro come la roccia” e che, con un pizzico di licenza poetica, è diventato la filosofia della band.
