Egomind

Egomind is an experimental music project with roots in Akureyri, Iceland. Egomind made his first debut with the collaborative single "Resistance" where he appeared as a guest vocalist for the Icelandic progressive metal band "Proxanity". Egomind´s first standalone single "Lone Garrdiija", which was released in 2024, acts as a fitting representation of the project moving forward. The first full length album is due to be released in the near future, before this the intention is to release more standalone singles and other collaborative affairs. The second standalone single "Forest Genesis" is due on January 20th.

The musical landscape of Egomind is characterized by a dark and melancholic atmosphere fused with a counteractive emotion of hope and beauty. This compliments the genres chosen whereas the music relies heavily on metal oriented segments and folk passages with clean guitars and electronic synths. The lyrical themes tackle the inner difficulties of the human mind and attempts to transcend the conflicting nature of ego to achieve clarity, truth and perseverance in life.
