Atmospheric, dark and heavy yet melodic, electronic and memorable. Eicosa is what happens when Iceland meets Sweden, an alternative metal duo made up of singer Emily Lindqvist & multi-instrumentalist and producer Albert Asvaldsson.
Eicosa was formed in Stockholm in the beginning of 2017 after Albert stumbled upon a recording of Emily’s powerful voice taking on Halestorm’s “I am the fire”. He contacted her immediately with the prospect of working together and it didn’t take long until they were in the studio experimenting.
Their debut single “Worlds Collide” was released in July that same year. The single premiered on online rock magazine rockbladet.se and was played on numerous radio stations in Sweden including Gothenburg’s Pirate Rock. In November they released their second single “You burn Me Out” followed by their debut five song EP “Nothing but Animals”.
