Eidetic Dreams is a Helsinki-based dreampop duo. The music, written and produced by singer-songwriter Siiri Kähönen and guitarist Antti Heikkilä, is characterized by wistful, gentle late-night pop.
An eidetic dream is a dream that one remembers vividly upon waking, recalled with photographic clarity down to the very colors and scents. This kind of vivid, unforgettable detail also permeates the music of Eidetic Dreams, where Scandinavian melancholy meets indie pop enriched with electronic elements. Kähönen and Heikkilä’s music radiates a sense of unhurried calm, offering them a way to pause and reflect.
In 2022, the duo began to develop Kähönen’s musical ideas into complete songs and soon discovered a profound musical connection. Thus, Eidetic Dreams was born. Debut single The Sheets is released by the well-regarded Helsinki-based record label All That Plazz (Markus Krunegård, Bad Sauna, Kaksipäinen Koira, DJ Slow, Lala Salama) in May, 2024.
