Loud. Critical. Political. Punk rock from Germany.
In 1990, frontman, composer and lyricist Thorsten Wozniak started the band EIS with his school friends. Even back then, they were writing original songs. Four years later, the school band disbanded. In the late '90s, Thorsten met Udo Lindenberg through the human rights activist Rüdiger Nehberg. Together, they wrote the song “I'm on My Way” as a tribute to their mutual friend. The track was released in 2000 on the album Der Exzessor.
Since 2014, Thorsten Wozniak has served as the Mayor of Gerolzhofen (CSU).
In 2022, EIS made a comeback – because they STILL have something to say.
With distorted guitars, catchy melodies and hard-hitting German lyrics, EIS digs deep.
Their debut album Dunkle Tiefen (Dark Depths, 2023) explores the abysses of the soul, the absurdities of everyday life, and the shadows of society – timeless themes.
EIS makes the wrong things right: loud, unfiltered, honest.
Following a strong live comeback, their next album “Alles Wird Gut” (Everything Will Be Fine) will drop in autumn 2025 via Smart und Nett Entertainment – featuring all-new tracks.
Line-up:
🎤 Wozi – Vocals, Ukulele, Acoustic Guitar
🎸 Snuffy – Guitar
🎸 Zambo – Bass
🥁 Ächl – Drums
