Born in 1989 in the city of Zahrouni where he grew up in the midst of a generation
eager to transform the Tunisian artistic landscape. He started his career as a B Boy
and soon began writing his own lyrics and developing his larger than life persona
full of wit, bravado and street smarts. In 2013, he not only rapped, but alongside
a group of like-minded young people, he co-founded al Zomra, a collective of young
multidisciplinary artists that laid the foundations for the current wave of Tunisian hip hop.
In 2015, he embarked on his solo career while continuing to collaborate with A.L.A,
notably with the launch of the zzh5 label. Constantly complimented on his unique style
, he recently released his own line of streetwear and accessories. Today El Castro is
one of the emblematic figures of rap in Tunisia and in the Arab world, a place that he
continues to consolidate through his presence in the media and on stage such as that
of the mythical Carthage where he performed 3 times.
