Elam Blackman has been around the folks scene for over 20 years. He honed his craft around the campfires of the Kerrvillle Folk Festival with countless songwriters such as Tyler Jordan (Good Looks), The Brother Brothers, Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, Twain, Brian Cutean and Steve Fisher. Many of them not famous but incredibly talented. Inspired by the spirit of no stages Elam gave up touring in 2011. Since then he has released home voice memo recordings. The idea is to open up the world of craft. To get out of the way by skipping the commerce arm of music. To show why and how we make songs. Believe in yourself and make your song for you.
