Elaw is an afrobeat and hiphop artist and producer based currently in Lagos, Nigeria.
His love affair with music began early on when he discovered a talent for drumming. Influenced by Afro-Caribbean and reggae music along with hip hop trailblazers like Gang Starr’s Guru, Jay Z, J.Dilla and indie act Bon Iver, Elaw delivers an accessible consciousness over original compositions. A self-taught producer and multilingual songwriter, he’s considered the perfect hybrid of hip-hop meets Afrobeats, often seamlessly infusing the two, giving birth to an originality duplicatable by none.
