Elbe is a post-metal band from the Czech Republic, blending elements of post-rock, doomgaze and atmospheric heaviness.
Originally founded as an instrumental project by guitarists Standa Jelínek (Dying Passion) and Martin “Spacosh” Peřina (Between the Planets, Martians), Elbe first explored cinematic soundscapes inspired by the Jeseník region with their debut album Sudety. Over time, the project evolved into a full band with the addition of drummer Jan Kylar, bassist Jan Stinka (both also from Dying Passion), and vocalist Insomnic, leading to the release of their critically praised second album Eschatology in 2020.
In 2023, Pavel Hrncir took over as lead vocalist. With a heavier and more dynamic sound, Elbe are now entering a new chapter. Their third album, Peculiar, is set for release in Autumn 2025.
The band has appeared at major festivals like Brutal Assault and MetalGate Czech Death Fest, and shared the stage with acts such as The Moth Gatherer and The Chasing Monster.
Někde v srdci Jeseníků je velmi zvláštní místo, kde bývala vesnice Elba. Mimořádní duchové místa inspirovali kytaristu a písničkáře Stanislava Jelínka (Dying Passion) k hudební cestě, která ho zavedla k projektu Labe spojující talenty Stanislava a Martina Spacoshe Peřiny (Sousedi, Mezi planetami). Labe je dokonalým soundtrackem k tajemným scenériím Jeseníků i k ohromující místní historii.
